Description

A fantastic Set of Glasses and colors is delivered with the new product "Eyewear Pack 2.0 Trilogy for the Genesis 8 Male" for 3Delight and iRay.
But very soon I detected that, although the glass zone is real volume, the iRay material presets don't use refraction for the glass body.

OK, as far as you don't do close-ups, the effect is not noticeable.
But especially for the lighter glass colors it really maked sense to use the refraction paramaters of the iRay shader, as demonstrated in the illustration.
Normally you would use outcut opacity for the color intensity/darkness. It is physically not correct but a good workaround. Now with refraction with iRay this doesn't work anymore. The refaction intensity is replacing it.

For working with refraction the color maps have to be placed into the refraction color parameter.
After some variations with the existing texture maps (at the right in the illustration), I had to create very light color maps for the more clear colored glasses. (the 2 examples left and middle).
For further variations of light, middle and dark colored glasses I can play around with the color and brightness in the refraction color channel.
